Systems Administrator
We are looking for a Systems Administrator to join our team! The Systems Administrator supports and maintains the hosting infrastructure for managed properties and build, deploy, and test automation for Managed Services (MS) properties. This role is based in Kumasi, Ghana and expected to collaborate in our office 2-3 days a week.
Accountable for
- MS Systems Administration SLAs are met (Reliability)
- SLAs for Routine Maintenance roster are met
- Advocate for and improve the MS developer experience
- Implement prod code deployment improvements
- Ensure the quality and security of sites launched to MS
Ensures MS Systems Administration SLAs are met (Reliability)
Uptime SLAs for production sites are being reliably met. Issues that are posing a risk to meeting our SLAs are addressed and/or escalated appropriately.
SLAs for Routine Maintenance roster are met
Routine updates are performed on maintenance roster properties that are assigned. Potential issues and recommendations are identified and communicated to the client.
Advocate for and improve the MS developer experience
In consultation with developers, processes and tools are implemented and supported that reduce friction and cognitive load in the development process.
Implement prod code deployment improvements
Opportunities for improvement in code build & deployment workflows are identified and implemented, with an emphasis on building consistent, repeatable, and maintainable processes.
Ensure the quality and security of sites launched to MS
Sites that start an MS plan, whether built by Product Delivery or inherited from another firm, are reviewed with an eye toward ensuring that they are secure and maintainable.
Qualifications
Must have experience in the following:
- Linux server administration
- Major web servers (Apache, Nginx)
- Unix shell scripting
- Experience with at least one programming language
- Version control (Git)
Nice to have experience in the following:
- Windows Server administration
- Docker
- Web development basics
- Major database engines (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server)

- Personal Utilization at goal
